This section is for the pieces that make our lives easier, more organised and function more smoothly. Here you will find alcove units, built-in cabinets, shelving, dressers and other bits and bobs. These bespoke cabinets are a great way of filling up the awkward spaces in your house, adding storage and functionality to unused areas.
Design
The great thing about adding, say, an alcove unit to your living room is that it is truly a custom piece especially for you, the space and your needs. It can look how you want it to, clean and modern using modern materials and finishes, or more traditional with frameworks and door styles that are timeless. It can be used to store specific items such as your DVD collection (people do still have those!) or it can be there simply to hide away the clutter of daily life. We’ve seen them used in a variety of ways from shoe storage to crockery and dining table place settings.
Adding shelving is one of the simplest ways of utilising a space, creating more room for your books and records or simply showing off your house plants. Something as simple as a set of well-designed shelves can really change and elevate, not just the space they are in, but entire rooms; providing a sense of space and height just by moving things into your eye line and off other surfaces.
